Presenting Clinical Problem
A patient presented to Greenvale Dental House seeking a fixed, full-arch solution after living with missing teeth in several areas for many years. Alongside the gaps, the remaining dental work had become worn and aged, which affected comfort and confidence when eating and in social settings.
- Missing teeth across multiple areas of the arch
- Worn and ageing dental restorations
- Difficulty eating and reduced confidence when smiling
Primary objective: full-arch fixed implant restoration using the All-On-4 technique.
Treatment Approach
Following a comprehensive oral examination and radiographic assessment, the treating dentist discussed the options for full-arch replacement. An All-On-4 approach was selected, in which four implants support a fixed set of replacement teeth for the whole arch.
- Assessment of bone quality and the distribution of the remaining teeth
- Removal of any remaining compromised teeth under appropriate anaesthesia
- Placement of four implants and attachment of a custom All-On-4 prosthesis
- A healing period before the final fixed prosthesis is fitted
Clinical Outcome
Once healing was complete, a fixed full-arch prosthesis was delivered. The replacement teeth were designed to look natural and to work with the patient’s facial features, restoring chewing function and everyday confidence.
Individual results vary. Outcomes depend on bone quality, implant integration and ongoing oral hygiene, and not everyone is a suitable candidate. Suitability can only be determined at a clinical consultation.
Common Questions
Can All-On-4 replace teeth that have been missing for years?
In many cases, yes. As long as enough healthy jaw bone remains, four implants can support a fixed arch even where teeth have been absent for a long time. Where bone has been lost, additional planning or grafting may be discussed.
Will the new teeth look natural?
The prosthesis is customised for tooth shade, shape and arrangement, and can be designed to complement your facial features. A try-in appointment allows the fit and appearance to be checked before final delivery.
How do I arrange an assessment?
Contact Greenvale Dental House to arrange a consultation. The treating dentist will examine your mouth, review any imaging and explain whether All-On-4 or another option suits your circumstances.
