Dr Liem completed his Bachelor of Dental Science degree at the University of Melbourne in 2011. In 2014, he began training with Progressive Orthodontic Seminars in the diagnosis and treatment of general orthodontic problems, completing the programme in 2015.
In 2016, Dr Liem became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons after completing extensive examination in both Primary and Finals assessment. The College’s motto “Let knowledge conquer diseases” reflects the commitment of the practitioner to a solid clinical foundation and evidence-based practice. In 2017, Dr Liem was selected to undertake the Advanced Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry (Dental Implants) at the University of Melbourne. This was a two-year part-time course that involved training under the supervision of experienced dentists, theory examination and presentation of clinical cases.
As part of this course, Dr Liem and his colleague Matthew Wolliansky, under the supervision of A/Prof Jaafar Abduo and Prof Joseph Palamara, completed a research project titled “Effect of modified tray design on accuracy of different impression techniques for parallel and divergent implants”, which was published in the Journal of Oral Science in September 2020. In 2023, Dr Liem became a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Dr Liem is committed to building good rapport with his patients through his friendly manner, thorough examination and meticulous execution of treatments.
Outside dentistry, Dr Liem enjoys spending time with his two young daughters, Alexandria and Amelia, his wife Anh, and their family Golden Retriever Rocky. Dr Liem is also keen on photography. In his quiet time, Dr Liem enjoys gaming on his PlayStation.
